Cortney is a Part-Time MBA student at the Schulich School of Business. She studied Psychology at the University of Victoria, graduating with distinction in her Bachelor of Science degree.
Prior to starting her MBA, she was a consultant on a transformational project with the British Columbia Ministry of Justice, and after moving back to Toronto worked as an Accounting Coordinator at a Toronto-based food distributor. She currently works at Thales Canada in the areas of transformation and operations.
As the President of the CAC her goal is to engage students and help them understand the timeline of the recruiting cycle and see the value in practicing case.
Alex has completed his second year of the J.D./M.B.A. program at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business. He obtained his Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management (B.PAPM) at Carleton University. At Carleton, Alex was a 4-time Academic All-Canadian with the varsity soccer team and was awarded the Senate Medal for B.PAPM at graduation.
Alex has a variety of leadership experience; he has organized the annual J.D./M.B.A. conference, participated as a caseworker at the Osgoode Business Clinic and as a Senior Editor for the Osgoode Hall Law Journal. He is a member of Schulich’s external case team, having represented them most recently on the first place MBA Games Human Resources Case team.
Clarissa is a B. Comm graduate from Indonesia with specialization in Accounting. She worked as an auditor in KPMG Indonesia prior to her MBA journey in Schulich. She is now an International MBA candidate from Schulich School of Business specializing in Strategic Management and Organization Studies. Clarissa is passionate about Human Capital Consulting and wish to pursue career in said area. As she is currently the VP of Professional Development in CAC, she plans to develop effective training programs and to optimize the function of the organization. Erik is entering his third year of the JD/MBA program at Osgoode Hall & Schulich. He completed his undergraduate studies in physiology, earning honours distinction and then pursued a doctorate of chiropractic degree (DC). Concurrently, while maintaining a patient assessment practice specializing in medico-legal cases, Erik received several professional awards as a medical representative with a global pharmaceutical corporation. Prior to entering law school, Erik worked for many years as a clinical specialist and then expanded his breadth to become a top-tiered Territory Business Manager in the field of electrophysiology. Along with surgical case coverage of implantable pacemakers/defibrillators and cardiac ablations, Erik was heavily immersed in incorporating new and innovative technologies and business platforms resulting from the many corporate mergers and acquisitions he was involved with.
Devon is a second year MBA student at the Schulich School of Business, and holds a BA Honours degree in Political Science from Queen’s University. Devon worked as a Digital Marketing Strategist for China Central Television (CCTV) in Beijing, where he engaged in the development and implementation of targeted advertising campaigns and promotional initiatives aimed at Western audiences. More recently, Devon worked for the Centre for Global Enterprise (CGE), where he established a network of cooperative arrangements with government agencies and businesses to promote the school’s internationally focused service offerings. In addition to his work with CAC, he currently serves as Managing Director of York Consulting Group (YCG), a student consulting firm that specializes in helping small-to-medium sized enterprises and not-for-profit organizations with real-world business challenges.
Aline is an international MBA student with work experience in market research and product marketing at Ipsos and
Microsoft. Born in Brazil and with curiosity for traveling, she has visited seven countries. Summing her love for market-
ing and passion for traveling, she’s focusing on improving her marketing skills in the International MBA program at Schulich School of Business.
Amir is a second year MBA candidate with focus in Business Consulting and Finance. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from York University. Amir spent three years working as a Financial Advisor in the retail sector at CIBC bank. Furthermore, he currently manages York Consulting Group at Schulich and his franchise business, Envoy Business Services, in which he serves clients with different types of business services. In addition, Amir is a member of Case Analysis Club and Schulich Finance Association. He also coaches students at Undergraduate Case Analysis Club. Amir holds a black belt in Taekwondo and loves to workout in his free time.
